We will attempt through class discussion to identify possible modes of resolution. Topics will include: love\, friendship\, sex\, loneliness\, parent/child conflicts\, health\, loss.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Facilitator\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Monica Kramer moved to Boca Raton in 2017 and accidentally became acquainted with ILIR when she met two long-time ILIR members\, Geri and Art Lutzker\, at the Living Room Theatre. Monica and Susan LaDuca lead the Relationship class\, which Monica considers “a rewarding and inspiring experience.” She is also a very active member of the Film class. Monica’s background includes teaching and volunteer work. Her interest in helping people led her to work on a suicide hotline and in a shelter for abused women. In Sarasota\, Monica worked at CYESIS where she taught young mothers\, still in high school\, not only how to care for their babies but she also cared for the children while their mothers attended classes. Monica has a BA in elementary education and\, after her children were grown\, earned her MA degree in Counseling. She credits her many interests and hobbies with helping her cope with COVID\, especially gardening and working out\, and adds her special appreciation for sourdough baking\, reading\, voter registration and\, of course\, cinema.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Facilitator\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Susan LaDuca\, Ph.D.\,(TempleUniversity 1993) Is a retired licensed family therapist\, having had a private practice in Philadelphia for over 30 years with expertise in interfaith marriage. She served as supervisor for the Pa. Assoc. For Marriage and Family therapy. A New Yorker at birth\, Susan grew up in New Jersey where she met her husband in high school. They moved to N.Y. where their two daughters were born. She and Tony moved full time to Boca from their longtime home in Philadelphia. Volunteer activities include participation in local politics as an Abington township Democratic committee person\, volunteer for the American Red Cross\, and founding member of the Women’s Center of Montgomery Township. Susan has been an avid film lover since her teens. At ILIR\, Susan has taught classes on The Genogram and co-facilitates the ILIR Film Club with her husband Tony. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This meeting takes place on Zoom.
