Facilitator

monica kramer
Monica Kramer moved to Boca Raton in 2017 and accidentally became acquainted with ILIR when she met two long-time ILIR members, Geri and Art Lutzker, at the Living Room Theatre. Monica and Susan LaDuca lead the Relationship class, which Monica considers “a rewarding and inspiring experience.” She is also a very active member of the Film class. Monica’s background includes teaching and volunteer work. Her interest in helping people led her to work on a suicide hotline and in a shelter for abused women. In Sarasota, Monica worked at CYESIS where she taught young mothers, still in high school, not only how to care for their babies but she also cared for the children while their mothers attended classes. Monica has a BA in elementary education and, after her children were grown, earned her MA degree in Counseling. She credits her many interests and hobbies with helping her cope with COVID, especially gardening and working out, and adds her special appreciation for sourdough baking, reading, voter registration and, of course, cinema.
