The Performative Turn Inhotim: Installation Art

Located in Brumadinho, Belo Horizonte Brazil, Inhotim, is an outdoor museum of contemporary art, gardens, galleries, and installation art works. The museum showcases around 700 works by more than 60 artists coming from nearly 40 different countries displayed outdoors and in galleries that share the space with a Botanical Garden of more than 4.3 thousand rare botanic species, from all continents. Dr. Weingarden received a Fulbright grant to research Inhotim and its collection of installation art.
