Beth Brady
I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania where I originally went to school to be a nurse. After working as a registered nurse for a few years, I realized my passion was marine biology and did a nine-month internship at Florida Fish and Wildlife in their manatee photo-id department. That internship was the catalyst for me returning to school to becoming a marine biologist. I did my undergraduate at Kutztown University, my Master's at Nova Southeastern University and my PhD at Florida Atlantic University. My main research focus is on manatee vocalizations in which I currently have eight publications on this topic. I have recently expanded into combining acoustics and drones to answer questions about manatee behavior.
