Throughout time, in most cultures, it is a small minority of people - literate, wealthy and male - who leave us their stories. Read the papers, watch the news, check the blogs, and be ready to discuss the week’s issues. And there is always plenty to talk about! Facilitator Joel Ivers will summarize the week’s lead stories, discuss in depth any significant new legislation, and lead you in an informative and vibrant discussion.
Participants will have the opportunity to raise ever changing relational issues. We will attempt through class discussion to identify possible modes of resolution. Topics will include: love, friendship, sex, loneliness, parent/child conflicts, health, loss.
Led by Susan and Tony LaDuca, lifelong film lovers and critics, the emphasis of Film Club will be on aspects of film writing, acting, directing and editing. Recommended films are available on Netflix, Amazon Prime and other online sources. See the film and come to class for a lively, interactive discussion.
